One of my favorite acts from IPO Fest “Girls Night Out” at Molly Malones (next to me, hehe) is the lovely and talented Gaby Moreno.  Alone with her electric guitar up on the stage singing her beautiful songs in Spanish and in English. She sounds like a gentle Amy Winehouse. Not to mention sports a very pretty face.  At the bar we talked about music and the LA Music scene. Gabby had been pounding the LA pavement for 8 years with out any big break, but still pushing along. Days later, Thursday night at her show at Cafe Muse in Hollywood (I’ve perform there as well) she was given quite a surprise. Tracy Chapman offered her an opening slot on her current tour. The next day Gabby headed off to the next city with Chapman.

Dreams made true by a willingness to not give up on a dream. Her story is the reality of LA Dreams coming true.
